Help each other ( Hutbah)

Dear Muslims, today our Hutbah is about helping one another. Muslims have responsibilities and duties towards one another. On top of the list comes to look after your brother, to find a solution to his problems, and to run to his aid should he need so.
Allah (C.C) states in, Sure-I Maide(Ayeh 2),in the circumstances where Muslim’s should help each other: “Help one another in righteousness and piety, but do not help in sin and transgression.”
Rasuallah SAV says “Each one of you is the mirror of your brother. If you see a thing that saddens them, try to find a cure to get rid of it.”
All prophets have been sent with 2 duties: to be a servant of Allah (C.C) and to serve the people. A Muslim can be busy with these 4 things:
1. to learn useful Ilim and to teach it,
2. to do ibadahs such as Zikr, Tesbih, read the Kuran and Salah,
3. to run to the aid of a Muslim, to make them happy and motivate them to do go deeds,
4. to work in order to feed oneself and the family.
For those Ashab who left their homes and belongings and went to Medine-I Munevvere, the name “Al-Muhacir” was given. And for those Ashab who opened their arms and helped them by sharing all their belongings and wealth, they were named “Al-Ensar” Allah (C.C) in the Kuran states the levels of Iman these two groups reached as:
“And those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard in the Cause of Allah, as well as those who gave them asylum and aid – these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and paradise.”
Dear Muslims!
A generous person is the one who gives without waiting for anything in return. “Kindness and generosity are such a merit that they cover the disgrace and faults of a person.” And the ones who deserve generosity are those who are in path of Islam, working for the sake of Allah (swt). And, especially, towards our parents, relatives and close ones, neighbours and those who are in need.
Allah (swt) says the following about Ashabi-Suffe:
“(Charity is) for Fuqara (the poor), who in Allah’s Cause are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land (for trade or work). The one who knows them not, thinks that they are rich because of their modesty. You may know them by their mark, they do not beg of people at all. And whatever you spend in good, surely, Allah knows it well.”
Dear Muslims!
Till we meet death we are in need of each others help. So therefore, if our muslim brother is in need today we must make sure we give them a hand, as we maybe in their shoes, in need of help, tomorrow.
